After Update Uploading not possible for certain user groups

  • My authors were able to upload images and video before. Now they get that “Cheatin huh?” comment. This was not the case prior to it. I tested the environment and after I make them an “editor” it works fine.

    Anyone have a solution to this?

  • Are you using a theme by Elegant Themes, by any chance? This is a known issue with at least 1 of their theme. Switching to the Twenty Eleven theme would help to confirm that it’s a theme issue.

    Yes

    I am – am using the elegant themes – wish I didn’t upgrade to 3.4

    However whoever thought of that idea wasn’t a nice thing to do.

    So should we trick the system and make them think we are editor instead?
