After update WC + WP player not visible

    I’ve just upgraded several plugins and theme templates. Both WordPress and WC have the latest versions now.
    However, after the upgrade, the music player plugin is not visible anymore in the front end. It is in the backend and everything is still checked as it was (so visible, file protection on etc).
    In the frontend, the files are shown in white (so not visible) and mentioned as ‘download’ in the shop and single product page. You can also play the file once you have found it. But with a different music player.

    Found the wp_footer() in the footer.php file.

    Perhaps there was some custom code in one of the template files I was not aware of (I took over this website, did not create the woocommerce part myself and they turned out not to have implemented a child theme) that is gone now I’ve updated all the plugins and theme files?
    In that case: could you help me with code I need (and place where to put it) to make the player visible again?
    I made a back up but can’t find any custom code there to copy paste to the new files.

    I activated another theme (twentyseventeen): problem is still there. So it’s not a theme issue
