after update – when i disable the plugin, my website doesn't work

    something weird is happening. i tried to update the event calendar because i was using older version. after update something weird is happening.

    problems

    1. whenever i update website disappears
    2. so i went back to older version and website reappears
    3. but now menu (placed horizontally below the logo) is gone
    4. i named the-event-calendar folder to the-event-calendar2 and website disappears (obviously something is triggering from the plugin folder?)

    very bizarre. i don’t know what to do.. any idea why this is happening?

    Howdy wolverinejoe80,

    I am very sorry to hear of your troubles. First thing usually when you are faced with a blank white screen and no error message, that is usually a sign that your PHP logs have errors in them. Those errors are highly informative. Some people setup PHP to display those errors instead of a white page just so they know immediately when errors are happening. That might help you hear. Without more to go on, it’s hard to say what the problem is. But armed with an error message we could probably figure it out really quick.

    There was an issue in the past that caused the update page to show a blank white screen instead of saying update succesful in some unique environments. That could be fixed by pasting this snippet in your theme’s functions.php file. https://gist.github.com/elimn/d60cb5f4b7334059c636
