    Hey guys –

We are very sorry about this. The most recent update included some changes to prevent the inserting of malicious scripts.

Unfortunately, it looks like these changes were broad and also blocked other markup from being rendered inside the testimonials. This is why you all are seeing what you do.

We are working on a solution and should have it released ASAP. In the meantime, rolling back to your previous version (1.36.anything) will address the issue.

    Thank you for your patience!

    All the best,
    Richard

Is there a link for the 1.36 version? I don’t have a copy of it locally…

thanks for the response, Richard – can you tell us how to roll back to the previous version of the plugin? thanks!

    Hey everyone!

The issue has been identified and patched in version 1.37.2, which should be available for download momentarily.

We have added an option to allow user control over the stripping behavior. By default, it is disabled (meaning when you update the plugin, things should resume working as expected.)

If you are concerned about users with login and post editing capabilities inserting anything malicious into your testimonial, simply disable the “Allow HTML Tags in Testimonials” option, under the Basic Options tab, and you’ll be safe!

We are also now using a different method for cleaning the HTML, so either way you should not see any code appearing on your site as a result of this change.

Please let me know if things start working for you all!

    All the best,
    Richard
