After updating to Yoast 7.5 I can no longer seen any of my posts listed on the WP-Admin page. It’s just completely empty now or will give an Error 500 message.

I have the same issue after updating to Yoast 7.5, can’t access the Post section of WordPress or the dashboard in Yoast SEO. Anyone with a fix?

I contacted and got the usual, (Did you deactivate every one of your plugins to make sure it wasn’t a problem with them and not us, etc.) that they always send out.

I let them know that the problem didn’t occur until their update and that was the only update but haven’t heard a peep since that.

This has happened so many times with them saying its another plugin but then quietly coming out with a quick fix update which fixed the issue. As more people notice and report this issue, you can expect another new update.

Are you using the latest version of WordPress v4.9.5? We’ve released Yoast SEO for WordPress v7.5.1. Please do update to the latest version and see if this addresses the issue.

Every time a new version is released, we do not intend for there to be plugin and theme conflicts or bugs and errors. Each website is different, with lots of different themes, coding, and plugins. We ask for these plugin and conflict checks to determine what the root cause is. It doesn’t mean that if 100 users are all encountering 404 errors, that they all have the same root cause which caused the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

I’ve now deactivated all plugins and only running Yoast Premium 7.5.1. Still can’t access the Post section in wordpress backend.

    Any suggestions?

    Marcus,

After contacting Yoast support directly and being told the same thing as above, I just went back to 7.4.2 version and everything works perfectly again.

    https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/releases/download/7.4.2/wordpress-seo.zip

The fact that there’s a growing number of people experience the same thing lets me know that there’ll be another update soon which should finally fix our issues. Lately there’s seems to be at least one big bug with each major release of Yoast SEO and 7.5 is no different. 7.4 was a nightmare but at least we know we can go back to get back to work.

@marcusmackan Since you running Yoast SEO Premium, we recommend you please send us an email directly to our support team at [email protected] and our support engineers will be happy to investigate this issue further on your site.

@gooma2 Can you please confirm whether the issue persists while using the default 2017 theme and while all the non-Yoast plugins are disabled?

We did already and they weren’t able to help with what I asked. So we were forced to go back to the free version 7.4.2.

If the issue persists after disabling all the 3rd party plugins and the default 2017 theme active, we recommend you please submit a bug report in here so our development team can investigate this issue further.
