After upgrade to 4 site stopped with white page

    Hello,
    I’m a long time user of AIOSEO.
    After upgrading today from 3.7 (I think) to 4.0.11 under WP 5.6 and PHP 7.4 the site crashed (white page) right from the homepage.

    No traces of errors nor in the page nor in the error_log, which did contain a few notices from my own scripts. So I downgraded WP to 5.5 (also upgraded today) then getting again the dreaded white page I tried disabling AIOSEO and … everything returned back to normal.

    I cannot give any other detail because with WP_DEBUG true and all the error display on no messages were caught.

    So this is a heads up – it’s better to check the site right after upgrade.

    @cleoni Have you enabled WP_DEBUG_LOG and checked in the debug.log in the /wp-content directory on your server? That’s where WordPress would write error messages to rather than the error_log which is the server log.
