Hello, after upgrading to WP5.6 all of the gallery URLs show 404 page not found. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, activating / deactivating, clearing the site cache, etc. Every gallery that has rl_gallery in the URL is broken.

I have a single gallery that does not have rl_gallery in the URL and it is somehow an RLG gallery and it works fine, I do not see a way to take rl_gallery out of the permalink for the other RLG galleries.

I have also tried converting the galleries to a draft then republishing them again, it does not do any good. When the gallery is a draft I can preview it fine, its just after it is published it is not visible on the site. I also checked via FTP and I do not see an rl_gallery folder on the site, is something missing?

I managed to fix it. I had to go into the plugin settings > Builder > Gallery Permalink and change it to something else. I updated it to “galleries” and all of the galleries started working again. I’m guessing the Permalink rl_gallery extension got unregistered somehow, so changing it to something else forced the plugin to register the new link. I could probably change it back to rl_gallery but “galleries” looks nicer anyway and the entire site updated all of the URLS to point to “galleries” for me already so I’m going to leave it the way it is.

Maybe there is something the developers can do to recheck the registration if you uninstall and reinstall the plugin.

Where were not permalink changes in recent releases of the plugin. But the rl_gallery could have been affected by any other plugin handling permalinks.

Probably, is in other similar cases, going to Permalinks -> Save would do the trick as it regenerates the rewrite rules.

I had to revert my WP install back to version 5.3.3 because my theme stops working on mobile devices with the latest version, maybe that affected the permalinks.
