I have upgraded to 2.9.2 automatically.I am having problem with https://www.domainname.com/wp-admin

Warning: require_once(/home/ad/public_html/?) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ad/public_html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 13

    1) Website is working fine

    2) Login page working fine

    3) After entering username and password click ok i am getting the following error

Warning: require_once(/home/ad/public_html/?) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ad/public_html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 13

I have checked line number 13 which is

    require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-admin/includes/comment.php’);

comment.php already there so i didn’t get what was the problem

    Hi Folks,

    I have a similar error

    Internal Server Error

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

I have renamed the plugins folder but still didn’t work, I can’t access my admin page although the blog its still up and running shall I contact my host?

    thanks

I have the same error as Davidesan.

My blog is off-line and I can’t log in.

    thanks

Oh well, no help. Guess I’ll try uploading 2.9.2 manually.

    pete2020

    (@pete2020)

Uploaded 2.9.2 manually twice. Spoken to the host company. They said that the PHP files aren’t working but the .txt and .html ones are.

I’ve uploaded 2.9.2 to another blog with the same provider so am assuming it’s something to do with WordPress.

I meant to add that if I put readme.html in the address bar it comes up. Then click update to 2.9.2 it says it’s already at 2.9.2. So it must be detecting something.

I’ve also cleaned out my cache and tried different browsers and PC’s.

After 6hrs work it’s running again.

Created my own php files and found they worked so decided it must be the download.

Did the more detailed instructions, downloaded, extracted and uploaded it again. Amazingly it worked.

Thanks to myself, OK then, be like that.

    pete2020,

    What exactly did you do?

    mz

    Hi MZ,
Didn’t see your note. Don’t know what I did but now v3.0 has an error after I automatically updated it. So this was a good check to remind me that manually updating using the long method might sort it.
