After upgrading to WP 3.2.1 SFC broke

SFC works fine with 3.2.1. This isn’t a problem with SFC or with WordPress, but with Facebook itself. Facebook frequently breaks down, and until they fix it, there’s nothing that can be done.

Facebook actually has been broken a lot over the last couple of weeks, and this affects all FB plugins, not just SFC.

we tested another FB-plugin with same FB-API, same FB-secret, same FB-ID and it worked just fine.

I’m having the same problem as of yesterday – no WP upgrade (still on 3.1.2).

Same problem. And it’s not a Facebook issue, as I’ve tested 3 other Facebook plugins and they all work fine. The issue only occurs with SFC. I’ve tried to puzzle it out, but I can’t figure out what SFC is doing differently from the others.

It is not WordPress 3.2 or 3.2.1 that is having any affect. I’m using SFC with WordPress 3.2.1. Matt is using it. Heck, www.ads-software.com itself is using it. SFC works *fine* with 3.2.1.

The plugin is not broken – it’s a problem at Facebook. Try searching the forums and you’ll see that this is happening to a range of people using a whole host of different FB plugins.

No plugin can publish to Pages with the stream.publish method. Here’s the relevant bug trackers on Facebook:

This is a problem nobody but FB themselves can fix.

BTW, automatic publishing to fan pages still works fine. That’s a different type of functionality.

In my case, SFC will publish on my profile but NOT on my Fan page.

Normal, no.

Broken, yes.

Broken by Facebook, yes. Again, nothing I can about it. Read Facebook’s bug trackers that I posted above.

Facebook seems to have posted a fix yesterday, I can confirm SFC once again works on my WordPress installations in combination with a Facebook Fan Page.

Yep, this appears to be fixed on their end. Finally. Only took them a week.
