I have two questions. First, I uploaded two videos less than ten seconds long on the web page. After uploading, the front end can display normally, but the wordpress backend becomes very stuck. Second, I tried to replace the video with a gif, but after uploading the gif, the front end always displays blank. Why is this?

I’m not uploading gifs at the moment because once I upload the gif, I can’t even click publish. The website is very stuck.

Is it because they are too big?

I uploaded a small gif as a test on the contact page, but the front-end displayed a static image.

This problem may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to deactivate all plugins and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-Four theme. If the problem goes away, re-activate them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to deactivate all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re still logged in without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I uploaded a small gif as a test on the contact page, but the front-end displayed a static image.

The specific issue of the animated GIF losing its animation on the Contact page is simply because you embedded a generated thumbnail image, rather than the original image.

To see the animated version, simply change the image’s settings to display the full-size/original image. You used the Elementor plugin to build this page, and I’ve no clue how the plugin handles images.

    Nice catch George, thanks!

I tried George’s method, and the PC side can display the gif normally. But the mobile side loads very slowly, and the format of other parts of the gif page is messed up.

It seems to be a problem with the AMP plug-in. I turned off the AMP plug-in, and the layout of the gif page on the mobile phone became normal, but the gif still cannot be displayed. It is blank, and there is no loading sign like other pictures on the page.

Any improvement with all other plugins off?

I don’t use many plugins and they are all necessary, so it’s not realistic to turn them off. Are there any other ways to solve the problem?

As mentioned earlier, if you can install plugins, install?Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to deactivate all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re still logged in without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I installed Health Check and checked, but it didn’t seem to find anything wrong.

Yes, that’s exactly what I did.

What’s the URL of the page with the problem?
