Afterpay Instalment Price Does Not Include Shipping Price

When you select a shipping method is it updating the order total on the checkout page? The plugin displays the total associated with the cart so it should reflect the shipping price.

Yes it is updating the total. You can test it out at naashi.com/shop. Just add any product to cart and checkout.

I also see the issue if I change shipping method – the instalment payment price is not updated, still shows the previous one.

I see you are using CheckoutWC for your checkout page functionality. What’s happening is when the shipping method is selected, the payment section is not being refreshed like in a standard WooCommerce checkout page.

That means the Stripe plugin is not getting the updated order total. I’ll reach out to the developer of CheckoutWC and see if they can take a look on their end.

Thank you for your quick reply. I’m using Linear Checkout for WooCommerce by Cartimize for the checkout page and have contacted them as well to see if it’s an issue on their end. Was suspecting about the payment section not being refreshed ( I can see updated price if I refresh the entire page).

Will let you know if I hear back from them.

Ah ok my bad, it looked like the CheckoutWC plugin at first glance. Ok cool, let me know what they say. I believe the best way to solve would be on their end since standard WC refreshes the payment sections, it’s probably best that they include that functionality for compatibility.

I wanted to update you that I have managed to get the issue fixed with the checkout plugin dev. However now I am faced with another issue. I am currently selling to NZ & Australia customers, the afterpay option is only showing when I select to ship to NZ. I have set up both the stripe and afterpay settings to sell to Aus & NZ.

Appreciate your help with this.

Hi @naashiart,

The current plugin logic is to only show Afterpay when the billing country matches the currency. So for example, when store currency is NZD, the billing country must be New Zealand. If the store currency is AUD, then billing country must be Australia.

I will be removing that restriction in the next release because based on testing, the billing address doesn’t matter. Only the currency matters.

I will try to use geo currency on my site then – hopefully that’ll sort that out?
Importantly though, I’m having another issue now – when I click Complete Order to go through Aferpay, i get an error message :

Missing required param: payment_method_data[billing_details][address][line1].

Any ideas?

The only way that error could be triggered is if your order doesn’t contain a street address. The Stripe plugin uses the street address associated with the order.

It does contain street address for shipping address, for billing address I am selecting the option same as shipping address.

@naashiart this is another issue with your Linear Checkout plugin I believe.

Their logic should be replicating the shipping address to the billing address such that when the billing address is called it’s populated. That doesn’t appear to be happening.

This would not be an issue with the Stripe plugin.

Thanks for that. I’ll check with them then. I’m forcing billing to default to shipping address and that seems to work for now. Thanks for all your help.
