Our website https://www.yolorum.com uses Popup Maker and the Age Verification Modal. We have been using it with no problem, until today when I saw there was an update to Popup Maker. I installed the update— and now the popup does not have the Age Verification portion at the bottom of the popup.

….I had to disable the popup all together, because it was blocking people from being able to enter the site without having the age verification, as there is now no button to click to enter the site….

….we have to get this back up and working ASAP, legally, since we are an alcohol site.

I will be watching this post like a hawk awaiting your reply. Anything I can do to help you figure out what is going on here, please let me know.

    Please help us ASAP.
    Thanks,
    Chris

In saying that I disabled the popup, I meant I currently have the popup’s targeting conditions set to nothing. If you need me to turn it back on by ticking “on entire site” again I will, so you can see the issue better, please let me know.

Really looking forward to hearing from you.

@kaden67 – This should really be posted in our private/paid support forum as it doesn’t reference the free plugin.

I will get a patch released today for this but you can temporarily fix the issue by adding the following filter to your themes functions.php file.

    add_filter('the_popup_content', 'popmake_av_popup_content_filter', 10);

    (@danieliser)

Just for reference this was caused by the update due to us having to remove usage of the_content filters because of other plugins interfering with the content in popups.

I do apologize for the inconvenience and must admit that it was an oversight on my part that caused this. The extension should have been tested and updated with the core in this instance and I will try to be more diligent in the future about these types of changes.

Thank you for addressing this quickly @danielser

I appreciate the temporary fix idea, but I’m not clear of exactly where in the functions.php file to add the filter, and I don’t want to put it in the wrong place— and if you are going to release a patch today, I will just just hold off until it is done.

My plugins page will alert me of an update to install when the patch is done, right?

Also, sorry for using this forum instead of the private/paid support forum, but when I go to https://wppopupmaker.com/support , I can not find anywhere to login, and when I click on General Support I only see “This forum is restricted to buyers. You must be logged in to create new topics.”— but no where to login from there.

So out of desperation, I reached out here as it was the only way I could find you to reach you.

@kaden67 – Not a problem. You can simply add it to the end of the file but a patch should be available in the next hour. I am working on it now.

Also I am working on the sites ease of use this week as well as soon as I get everything(support wise) caught up. This will include more usable forums, easy access to logging in using our own login modals, a my account section for easy access to purchases, downloads and licenses etc.

Thanks for the feedback and we will work to get it taken care of.

@kaden67 Update just went out. You should see it in your dash shortly. Marking this resolved.

Please take a moment to rate and review the plugin and or support. Also since your using one of the extensions please rate and review that as well if you have time.

@danieliser —still haven’t seen anything in my dash indicating an update needs to be done to our Popup Maker plugin.

What email can I contact you at Daniel? I need help with this issue again.

    (@danieliser)

@kaden67 – For extension support you can now submit a ticket at https://wppopupmaker.com/support/.

    Thread Starter Kaden67

    (@kaden67)

Did that 2 or 3 days ago, didn’t get an email saying that the ticket was received and someone would be getting back to me, which had me concerned as to whether or not it went through, so I’ve been waiting to hear back.

Still haven’t gotten a response yet (as of the message I am writing now, just checked everywhere in my email, even searched through my spam to be extra sure).

Is this something you can check for me, and give me an eta? Thanks.

    (@kaden67)

    Hello again, Daniel

As I mentioned in my last post here, I did submit a ticket to:
    https://wppopupmaker.com/support/

I did not receive a confirmation that the ticket was received, and have not heard back in any way, even as much to get an ETA on when you can get around to my issue. This has put me in a position where I have to try and reach out to you here, because it’s the only place I can be sure I may be heard.

I see that at https://wppopupmaker.com/support/priority-pricing/ I can pay $99 for Priority Support (for a 45 day window), which as you say places me at the front of your queue. My question in regard to this is
what does “being at the front of the queue” mean? Will I receive an ETA for my issue then?

This is a very important issue as the website in question is a Brand of Alcohol, and it currently does not have an active age verification gateway because it’s broken, putting our company in a bad place, legally.

    Respectfully,
    Chris

@kaden67 – Hmm, can you try emailing support at wppopupmaker.com directly. I don’t want to ask for your email directly here to look it up but I just cleared out all the tickets in our support que.

You can also email me directly at danieliser at wizardinternetsolutions.com.

Sorry you have had so much trouble, we will get you squared away.
