Agent account – insufficient permissions to access this page

    First Issue
    ===========

    Using my standard WordPress admin account, I create an Agent account which appears to work. I then login as that agent account. I manage to successfully change the account’s profile (such as social media links etc).

    However if I click on ‘1 Rental’ in the Listings section of the Dashboard, I get the following error:
    “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”

    At first I thought this was because I hadn’t added the agent’s username to the ‘Listing Agent’ entry, however I had. I even added the same agent username under ‘Second Listing Agent’ just to be sure. However the issue still remains.

    I envisaged that the agent would be able to edit that entry.

    Easy Property Listings uses the standard accounts. What user level did you set the agent to?

    Administrator
    Editor
    Author
    Contributor
    Subscriber

    I fixed it in the end by upping the user role to a higher level.

    Strange about the extra user role of ‘Agent’. I was experimenting with other estate agent plugins. I’ve deactivated them all now but the ‘Agent’ role remains. I’m assuming it’s a remnant from a database change that one of the other plugins made! I might have to backup my database then delete that user role.

    Yes i had the same issue on a site we upgraded to Easy Property Listings and had to edit the database to remove the Agent role.

    Here is a better explanation of how to remove custom roles. Backup your database first before proceeding with a fix.
