Ahrefs Ranking Issue

    Hey arnaudbroes, I have change the SEO plugin to my site from SEOPress to AIOSEO. Now I am facning the issue in Ahrefs. My Ahrefs site ranking is down day by day.

    Before AIOSEO the ranking was 12,888,362 and after installed and setup AIOSEO the current ranking is 15,044,817. This is the alarming point to me. The ranking is down day by day.

    Can you please let me know how I can resolve this issue? It is very frustrating.

    @getmuzeek I don’t have an Ahrefs account so I cannot view the link you’ve posted above, but generally I recommend people not to stare blindly at rankings on third-party platforms. It could be that you dropped in their ranking because you score lower, but it also is entirely possible that other sites now simply score higher. They could also have changed their algorithm.

    Instead, I’d look at Google Analytics to check whether your traffic has decreased significantly since you started using All in One SEO. If it has, I’d start by checking Google Search Console to see if you’re running into any indexing issues.

    I used other SEO plugins to my other sites, but I can not see any Ahrefs ranking issues. However, I have change SEO plugin to one of my site and after that I observed the issues.

    May be it’s an indexing issue. Here is the image of the sitemap.

    Hi @getmuzeek,

    Thank you for the screenshot. That shows that Google is having a problem seeing your XML Sitemap which may explain the issues you’re seeing with ranking. I tried to browse to your XML Sitemap but it gets redirected to the homepage of your site. I checked the source code of your site and see you’re using Rank Math so that plugin isn’t generating a sitemap for your site.

    One feature that All in One SEO has is that it also generates an RSS sitemap which can get your content on Google much quicker than using a standard XML Sitemap.

    We’d love to help you further with the issues you’re seeing so please let me know how else we can help you.

    I would like to add that you’ll get much better ranking indicators by using Google Search Console, so you may what to check the reports in GSC for more reliable information.
