AIO stopping wp install on addon domain

Hi DFranzwa, this plugin does not stop you from adding add on domains.

I have this plugin installed in my main domain and I also have it installed in 2 addon domains plus a WordPress installed in its on folder “not a domain”. No issues what so ever.

What ever rules you have added to your .htaccess file is what is causing this to happen.

You need to investigate further and perhaps ask your Host what rules you need to implement on your .htaccess file to allow you to add an addon domain.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the plugin, but if I hadn’t been using the plugin, the rules which were used would not have been written. Once I took away the rules AIO had written and replaced with generic htaccess, the redir loop went away, so as far as I’m concerned, AIO *did* cause the inability to launch wp on the addon domain.

I spoke with my host and felt the users in the wp forums would have a better handle on what might be at issue with the plugin, than the folks at the host, but apparently it’s more important to defend the plugin at all costs rather than pitch in to help decipher what part of the plugin may be blocking the ability to add wp to the addon domain.

Which firewall rules have you activated?
If you do have a bunch of firewall features active you will need to do some simple tests by deactivating those rules one by one and then checking for the redir loop until you find the rule which may be causing this.
