AIOSEO Plugin Conflict with WPBakery 7.9

I’m sorry that you experienced an issue using AIOSEO with the latest version of WPBakery.

Could you please share some more details regarding the issue, perhaps with some screenshots or a screencast of the problem, so that I can investigate this and assist you further?

Could you also use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/) to debug possible conflicts by following these steps:

This test will not affect the site for your visitors.

1. Make sure to have a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Two installed.
2. Go to Plugins > Add New and install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
3. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and click on Troubleshoot below the All in One SEO plugin.
4. This will temporarily disable all the plugins and switch to a default theme only for your user ID without impacting what your visitors see.
5. Enable WPBakery under Troubleshooting Mode at the top.
6. Check to see if you’re able to reproduce the problem.
7. Once you’re done troubleshooting, deactivate and delete the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.

Thanks for the reply. See the video below. When trying to edit the page WPBakery backend editor get a 404 error. Once I deactivate AIOSEO, WPBakery backend editor works again.

I have tried the above instruction using health check. It could be also a conflict with another plugin called Shortcodes by United Themes which is apart of my theme that adds shortcodes to WPBakery. If this plugin is enabled with AIOSEO it produces the same problem.

Thanks for the screencast. Could you tell me if the theme includes an integrated version of WPBakery?

Would you be able to disable any addons/plugins for your theme that are added into the WPBakery builder/editor to see if that helps?

Hi There,

Yes the theme includes an integrated version of WPBakery. Called Brooklyn Page Builder (Visual Composer)

It also has another plugin called Shortcodes by United Themes if i deactivate this plugin the backend editor works with AIOSEO active.

If i keep Shortcodes by United Themes active but deactivate AIOSEO the backend editor works.

Could you please check in All in One SEO > Search Appearance > Advanced to check that Run Shortcodes is Off? If it’s enabled, it can create conflicts with third-party plugins.

If it is off, would you be able to check for errors in your browser error console?so I can help you?

We do support the WPBakery page builder, but it looks like there is a conflict with the additional shortcode plugin.
