    Greetings,

I’m going to try something different in trying to resolve issues with All In One Word Press Security (AIOWPS).

I use both Wordfence AND AIOWPS on several sites I manage on separate sites through GoDaddy. I’m not an expert in security nor WordPress. So, please bare with me.
I have two sites in particular that keep crashing when both of the plugins are running. I REALLY need both plugins because I use AIOWPS to mange new registrations, and the other to Wordfence to manage and block attacks using the LiveTraffic tools. If one of these plugins could handle both concerns I’d gladly walk away from the other.

I have taken the advice from AIOWPS support and deactivated their plugin, gone into MyPHPAdmin and deleted all the associated tables, and that seems to give me access to my WP Dashboard again and give the public access to the site instead of the dreaded “127.0.0.01” white screens. But, these seems to be a temporary fix at best.

Is anyone aware of this conflict? If so, are there other measures you can think of to help resolve this?

I’m using Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)/just updated at the time I wrote this. 20181018/07:46.
    GoDaddy Linux?
    WP Version 4.9.8
Both AIOWPS and Wordfence are current.
    Theme is Brand
    Websites are https://www.gunnyret.com or https://neovets.org
Currently, both sites seem to be working fine. Go Figure!

    Hi @gunnyret,

Can you elaborate in full detail what “I use AIOWPS to mange new registrations” means please.

Wordfence provides full brute force login protection so the All In One WP Security & Firewall plugin feature you are referring to may not be needed.

If you are seeing a white screen then that indicates a PHP fatal error. If PHP error logging is enabled on the server you can send your PHP error logs to phil [@] wordfence [dot] com

    Thank you.

    @wfphil,
Thank you for your response.I have site user registration activated for the site, primarily for job seekers.

I manually approve each user (currently very manageable) because I have had fake accounts get through without this feature in place.

After a counseling session with a Veteran, I instruct them how to create a profile. Then, it’s a pretty simple process of activating their account once they register.

I wish I could afford all the bells and whistles, but I don’t charge Veterans fees for my job search coaching. So, for now, I find myself needing both plugins.

Thank you again for the reply.

Ironically, I’m heading to an Information Security Summit in Cleveland today to help connect Veterans to the plethora of opportunities in this field.

I hope I answered your question.

    Oorah!

    Hi @gunnyret,

    Thank you for the update.

I haven’t received PHP error logs that may indicate what the conflict is between Wordfence and All In One WP Security & Firewall.

If you are not sure what to do you can ask your hosting provider for assistance in checking if PHP error logging is enabled for your hosting account, and providing you the PHP error logs to be able to send them to me.

You can then install and activate the All In One WP Security & Firewall plugin.

If it generates a blank screen as you described before then you can deactivate the All In One WP Security & Firewall plugin as you did before and then send me your PHP error logs to phil [@] wordfence [dot] com.

    Thank you.

I apologize, Phil. Oct/Nov are extremely challenging times for my business and the veteran non-profits I serve. I have not had an opportunity to test your suggestions.

I truly appreciate your efforts, and promise I will get to this! Lately, I haven’t had an significant issues.
