    Hi!

    I recently stumbled upon an issue i get with my login attempts. I have my options setup that it will block someone’s ip when they have tried and failed to login three times in a row. But unfortunatly it bans their ip when they fail to login once. Is there anything i can do to fix this, or something i might have missed?

    Under User Login>>login Lockdown, do you have “Instantly Lockout Invalid Usernames” checked?

    Hi! thanks for the reply, sorry for my late one. But yes i do, the names i have blocked are:
    – admin
    – administrator
    – login
    – test
    – developer
    – pages
    – wordcamp
    – {customers company name}

    Do any of the blocked names corresponds with the logins that have only been allowed one login attempt?

    Under Brute Force>>login whitelist, is enable IP whitelisting checked?

    Ah, sorry for the late reply. But yes, it is checked. I have my ip whitelisted.

    If this is checked, it means that anyone who does not have your IP will be prevented from logging in, this is likely why users are only getting one attempt
