    Hi Guys –

Thanks for the great AIOWPS plugin! I’ve been using it for a year and it has been working really well.

I upgraded from v4.2.7 to 4.2.8 and my users can no longer access the /your-profile page from the Theme My Login plugin. This page allows them to change their own email, address, password, etc and it works with 4.2.7, or if I deactivate 4.2.8 entirely. But with 4.2.8 it gives a security error saying “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

So, there seems to be a conflict with AIOWPS v4.2.8 and Theme My Login.

Version 4.2.2 of AIOWPS is the latest version available at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/advanced/. Is v4.2.7 available somewhere?

    Thanks!

    Mike

Is that security error the “exact” wording? The reason I ask is because I know for a fact that the phrase you quoted is not coming from the aiowps plugin?

If that is not the exact wording of the message, can you please copy the exact phrase and let me know what it is so I can confirm that it is coming from my plugin.

Yes, that’s the exact wording. I cut and pasted it.

It seems to be some interaction between the two plugins because the older version of aiowps didn’t behave this way.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I am also encountering a problem with a conflict between these two plugins. It’s not spitting back an error, but it is just taking users to the WordPress dashboard when they try to access the theme my login profile page.

I love both of these plugin so much, so it’s a bummer to see a conflict like this. I hope you’re able to figure out where the issue is. In the meantime I’m just implementing some manual security protocols that I used to rely on the plugin to handle.

    Thanks a ton!

There is another conflict between AIOWPS and the Theme My Login plugin. With v4.2.2 of AIOWPS (the latest version available at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/advanced/), users are unable to log in using their email. They can only use their userid.

Fortunately I had AIOWPS v4.2.7 in one of my backups and was able in install it, and it works correctly with Theme My Login for both this issue as well as the /your-profile page issue I reported at the beginning of this thread.

Is there another AIOWPS upgrade coming that will fix these two recently-introduced bugs? Is there some reason you don’t archive all the versions of AIOWPS?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
So are you saying that AIOWPS 4.2.7 does not have the issue but 4.2.8 does?
If this is true that would be strange because nothing was really changed in the login code.
Maybe that other plugin you referred to recently changed something?

Thanks, @wpsolutions, for your quick reply.

This is interesting … I upgraded from AIOWPS 4.2.7 to 4.2.8 and the Theme My Login plugin is still working. It seems the conflict is a bit more subtle.

I will monitor it as I upgrade various plugins and let you know if it becomes a problem again.

    Thanks,

    Mike

This is still a conflict. I just discovered today that the themed profile page for theme my login gets redirected back to the real profile page. It does not happen when I disable all in one security.
