My client has started to receive an AJAX 403 error when trying to page to next month of the Events Calendar. The plugin has been running problem free for several years until the last week, nothing in the server or site setup has changed.

I see a few other people have reported similar issues and I have excluded the Calendar page from the LightSpeed Cache which has resolved the issue for now, but this doesn’t feel like a good permanent solution.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

  • Hey @zactoff

It sounds like your site was set to auto-update.
Version 6 is a pretty significant update hence the possible issues.

    Our apologies for the inconvenience.

    1. If you can, we recommend disabling auto-updates so that you can test major updates on a staging site
    2. Make sure to go through our LiteSpeed Cache Knowledge Base article to ensure full compatibility

Let us know how that goes,
    Geoff
