Ajax Load more with custom query

Hi, I’ve been asked by a client to apply Ajax Load More to a custom search results page which uses a custom query. I have the results coming through at the moment in the old fashioned way (listing the posts) but the client wants it in the same style as other parts of the site which use ALM. Is it possible to apply ALM to my results of my custom query?
