[Ajax Search Lite] Ajax search and search results mismatch

    Dear Team,

    I have the following problem on my website – energygroup.lv.

    Ajax search lite works perfectly for searching products by SKU, however it doesn’t work the same for searching by EAN(number) on my website.

    Search by SKU case:

    When I search by SKU(can take for test “2003804”) it gives life results while typing right away + if user clicks search it sends to new URL with search results with same/similar SKU – ??

    Search by EAN case:

    When I search by EAN(number) it gives life results while typing right away, however when user hits Enter/Search to be redirected url with all results. It say that “No products were found matching your selection.” which is not true.

    I have tried switching on “Override the default WordPress search results” it solves the problem, however in this case Ajax live search and regular Search(when I got redirected to a new url) works very slow.

    Please assist with getting accurate search results when click “Search”

    Hi,

    Thanks for the details!

    The issue here is that the search override is not activated, without that only the regular WooCommerce search is executed.

    Make sure to enable that feature, that will solve that issue. The slowness may come from actually this (especially if you have many products), as searching additional fields introduces more subqueries and that will of course.

    To solve that, I suggest selecting the least amount of fields to search, something like this guide: part1 & part2

    Hi! Thanks for your help:

    Search in terms? (categories, tags) – turned it off. It was slowing everything down a lot! ??

    One problem still not solved – EAN live search works, but regular “click-search” doesn’t work.

    Any ideas how to fix it?

    Can you check if the search override is active? From what I can see it’s currently inactive.
