Ajax Search lite integration

Hi,

I’m using Ajax Search lite, a popular search plugin, I’m trying to add ajax search in menu creating a link with # and shortcode, as they describe in documentation, unfortunately doesn’t work with Quadmenu as link persist and when I try to search, the search field acts as a button and page is reloaded. I’ve found that even removing # link persists, with any kind of content (shortcode or text), this is a non expected functioning of menu.
Please can you check the issue?
