Ajax Search Lite not working right after install

  • Hi,
    We just downloaded and installed your Ajax Search Lite plugin – and it’s not working at all.

    No results from manipulating the catgegories dropdown – no results from the text search bar.

    What’s wrong? We pasted this https://paste.ee/p/GhZQz into paste.ee.

    Hi!

    Sounds like there might be a javscript error somewhere along the execution, and it might prevent the plugin from loading. It’s just a guess, but you should try the following:

    1. Open up the Compatibility Settings submenu under Ajax Search Lite menu
    2. Change the JavaScript source option to ‘Minified scoped’, like so: https://i.imgur.com/rbZmP7t.png
    3. Save the options and try re-loading the page. Make sure to clear your cache, and reload by hitting CTRL + R in your browser.

    This usually helps, but if there is indeed a javascript error somewhere, originating from another plugin/theme, this will only bypass it. I still recommend checking the error console to make sure it’s clean.
