• Hey, quick question – and before that question I would like to say thank you very much for making this incredible plugin!!! Super easy to use and it works flawlessly..! Well almost!

    This little flaw isn’t your fault. Anyway back to my question – it states in your FAQ on codecanyon.net the following:
    Can it replace my default theme search bar automatically?

    Yes it can! You can select which search instance you want to display instead of the default theme search bar.

    I tried to use a setting in Ajax Search Lite called Try to replace the theme search with Ajax Search Lite form? to no avail – it didn’t work. Based on your FAQ… Would the PRO version solve this problem? As in – would PRO version replace the current search bar even though Ajax Search Lite wasn’t able to? I hope this makes sense.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

    Thank you very much for your kind words!

    Well, the Lite version uses the same method as the Pro version, it is not limited by functionality that way.
    If the Lite version does not replace, then the Pro will not replace either. The only possible way in this case to replace manually via editing the Theme files. You may have to ask the theme author about the exact place of the search form.
    Then you can use the PHP shortcode to make the replacement:

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[wpdreams_ajaxsearchlite]'); ?>
