Akismet API key wants me to login WP.com info

    I’m trying to get an API key for tubbesingart.com which is a www.ads-software.com site, yet Kismet is asking me for WordPress.com info, which I have but it’s different- email, password, etc. What should I do? Kismet support also wants WP.com info.

  • We use WordPress.com user accounts to manage Akismet subscriptions, even though your site is self-hosted. Just login using your WP.com account, it’s okay if the email and password are different than what you use on your .org site.
