Akismet Conflicting With Gravity Forms’ Confirmation

    We are trying to setup Gravity Forms to redirect to a page when the information is submitted. However with Akismet activated it doesn’t work. The form just displays “Thanks for contacting us! We will get in touch with you shortly.” I even tried editing the confirmation message but no matter what I change it to, the same “thank you” message keeps displaying.

    If I deactivate Akismet then the form works properly. I’ve contacted Gravity Forms and their suggestion was to turn off Akismet integration in GF’s setting but that doesn’t help. I have to completely deactivate Akismet for the form to work properly.

    Hi there,

    I just did a quick test and couldn’t reproduce the problem. I tested with the latest versions of the Gravity Forms plugin (2.7.1) and the Akismet plugin (5.0.2). The Gravity Forms Akismet integration is enabled, and I set up my form to redirect after the form is submitted. The contact form redirects after the form is submitted as expected. I also tried editing the confirmation message, and that worked properly.

    Which versions of the plugins are you using? Are there any other plugins on your site that could be interfering with the contact form submission?

    Thank you for your quick response. As it turns out the issue was with the email address I was using for testing. Akismet flagged it as spam so Gravity Forms was responding with a default confirmation message. When I tried my personal email address the form worked fine.

    The email I was testing with was our companies email address. Somehow Akismet has this email flagged a spam. How can I get Akistmet to approve all email addresses from our company?
