Akismet counter remains at zero

  • I recently migrated my blog trasna.net to a new domain name. I used the export-import function in WordPress 2.3.1. While it went mostly well one problem I am having is the Akismet counter (sidebar widget) remains at zero even though I am actively receiving comment spam. If I look at the comment page I can see that I have 287 comments classified as spam. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. It work fine prior to migration with the identical configuration.
