Akismet is sending false positive emails

  • Generally, I only get an email from Akismet when it’s really unsure of a spam comment and sends it to the “Pending” queue (usually these turn out not to be spam) but lately I’ve been getting dozens every day, for each of my blogs. Yet, when I sign in, Akismet has already correctly marked these as spam and there are no pending comments.

    It’s like I’m getting false positive with the e-mails. Has anyone else experienced this?

    If you look at the History for those comments, does that give any clue as to what happened?

    What I’m wonder is, was your WP install not able to reach akismet.com to check the comment properly for spam.
