Akismet shows only first page of spam

When I get enough spam messages to create a second (or third, fourth…) page, I get this message when I click on the page number or “Next”:

The address is not valid
Most likely causes:
There might be a typing error in the address.
If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

The URL of page 2, for example, is

https:///wp-admin/edit-comments.php?page=akismet-admin&apage=2

This is obviously frustrating, because I do go thru my spam comments (and occasionally find a legit comment), but I can never see the pages beyond page 1.
