    Hi,

We send a newsletter on a weekly basis and have set our inactive subscriber settings to removal every three months. After an initial drop of approximately 40% of our subscribers (800 out of 2000) probably due to dead email addresses, we are now experiencing a drop of 40-50 emails every week due to inactivity.

This is a fairly alarming number. Is it possible that emails are being opened/clicked but somehow not being registered as opened or clicked by the plugin? This steady drop just doesn’t seem right to us. We use Sendgrid as our mail delivery service.

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • Hi!

That shouldn’t be the case – when a subscriber opens, clicks, or “interacts” with an email, that’s tracked and registered in the plugin. However, it can be the case that if one subscriber doesn’t have the load of images active in their email client, those stats are not tracked properly but this is a very small percentage of most subscribers.

Could you please check the deliverability logs of Sendgrid? Did they have any problem delivering your emails? You can ask them for the logs and compare them with the overall stats in MailPoet.

    Please let us know.

    Hi there @julius-e,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
