• Hello.

I just added a new album to Google Photos, and Photonic doesn’t pick up the album cover for that album. Tried a couple of times to re-create the album, still, the issue remains, and it’s always happening for the latest album created.

Could you help me to fix this issue?

    Thanks.

It is possible that one of your album’s images is causing an issue. When I click on the thumbnail for your erroneous album, one of the images does not render (the 15th photo) – the wheel just keeps spinning. Try fixing that image first and see if that helps.

Actually, the error I wrote about in my post above seems to have got fixed automatically.

So that takes us back to the original problem that you mentioned. That album’s cover photo shows up with a “403” error, which means that the API is returning a “Forbidden” URL. Can you try setting a different cover photo for this specific album?

Tried that. Now the cover picture is OK, but when I click on the album it’s just spinning and doesn’t load the album.

If I were to guess, something is wrong with the album at Google’s end – the error message I am seeing is that Google says now that the album id is invalid (which shouldn’t happen, since the album id is provided by Google itself).

I believe you had issues with Google’s API in the past, where it was not returning albums correctly. I don’t know if that has been fully resolved.

You can try something else – you can leave this album alone, and create another album with the same photos. When you are generating your Photonic gallery, exclude the album that has issues. That might help.

Tried again… and chose all besides selected albums.

Now when I click more, the page won’t load more albums.

    Really lost here.

Your filter shows that you have excluded almost all your albums. You only need to exclude the problematic album.

Selected all and removed the problematic one

    Same thing, unfortunately ??

Sorry, I have no idea how to help you. I have never seen this type of an issue occur.

Were you able to resolve the issue with Google as per your older thread? It is possible that the issue wasn’t fully resolved.

To be honest, I’m not sure Google fixed that in a proper way.

Sadly, now I have to find alternatives for your great add-in, since I have no way to make the albums work again.
