  • Same problem here, how have you solved?

They don’t seem interested in fixing this, been a problem for a long time now. I had to just create a list of galleries on one page, instead of having an album:

It’s not that we aren’t interested in fixing it, but the fix would require a lot of work and rewriting of parts of the plugin, if a fix can even be found without rewriting large parts of the plugin.

WPGetReady has been very busy lately, and my priorities have shifted to almost exclusively using a personal fork of this plugin, so there isn’t much incentive to spend a lot of time on a fix.

I do apologise for the lack of communication, but as it currently stands, we (or at least I, I can’t speak for WPGetReady) are not going to fix this soon.

We will accept pull requests, so if you want/can fix it, go ahead.

Thanks, niknetniko, I understand. I thought the fix should be easy, since it used to work just fine. Maybe someone can fix it and do a pull request, as you say.

When you say you’re “using a personal fork of this plugin,” do you mean you’re developing your own gallery plugin?

I mean that for a site I own, I have rewritten a lot of the plugin (part of the reason I did that is to fix bugs like this). This is something I’m still working on, as this takes a lot of time.

However, the version I use is not 100% backwards compatible (more like 95%, some edge cases are no longer supported). Also, I have not tested it thoroughly, but most things should work.

The code is available in the repository, so if you’re feeling adventurous and have a test site, you can install it.

Okay. Btw, what do you think about the fact that the albums worked before, and don’t now? Doesn’t that indicate to you that one of your updates affected something, and that therefore a fix might be pretty simple?

Do you happen to know when they stopped working? If we knew exactly what update changed it, maybe that would make it easier to compare and figure out a patch.

    Thanks for your replies.

I think I will adopt @jamminjames solution, and create a list of galleries in place af an album.
