Here is a link to a download zip that you can install as new plugin -> upload plugin.
It will say that wppa is already installed and ask if you want to replace it with the download; say yes to that question.

This should fix the slideshow issue.

Your other issues i can not reproduce. Make sure you install properly (not just ftp copy files), or run Photo Albums -> Settings -> Advanced settings -> Maintenance -> I: Regular maintenance procedures -> Item 1: Setup

If that does not help, Go to the WP Settings -> Permalinks page and press Save changes, even when you did not change a thing.

This error is still occurring with the image edit button. See image at:

Try the other method in Advanced settings -> Admin -> V: Miscellaneous limiting settings -> Item 1: Frontend Edit
