[Albums] Link to galleries and translation

Thanks for your great feedback.

1) The default album uses a rewrite rule to load the gallery, so there is no need to have a page with that name, it should render the same page again but output the gallery instead of the album. Other people have reported an issue with the rewrite rules in some cases, so I assume you are having a similar issue. Perhaps I must add an option to choose the link structure or link to a seperate page altogether.

2) I will add a setting to allow you to change the word “images”

3) The preview image will show the featured image of the gallery, or fallback to the first image in the gallery if no featured image is chosen for that gallery.

Please let me know of anything else you find or suggestions.

I have added a new setting for the album which allows you to choose the URL link format for the galleries in an album. If you are gettings 404’s then change to use the querystring format and that should solve your problem.

I have also added language settings so you can change the word “images” to “blinder”

It would be great at some point down the line to have the album thumbnails link to gallery pages. This would allow more flexibility in presenting galleries using an album as a navigational starting point to gallery pages instead of a list of pages.

I agree, linking to gallery pages would suit 99% of my websites much better.

Is this possible with some tweaking? As I generally display several Albums in one page, e.g. Album page with Apples, Oranges, Bananas, each Album would have 3+ Galleries.

Currently doing this looks very messy when clicking on a Gallery as the Album page still shows the other Albums.

Linking to septate Gallery Pages would be cleaner.

Great plugin though ??
