Albums says “File deleted?” after upgrading to Rife from Hypershot

    I have used your theme Hypershot for many years without problems, but was forced to upgrade since it stopped working when my hosting provider upgraded their servers. So I followed your recommendations and installed Rife instead and tried the Frame theme. My plan was to upgrade to pro once everything was up and running, but unfortunately it did not go as smoothly as I hoped.

    All my albums are still there but when I go to edit an album all images says “File deleted?”. The album title and the Selected image is correct, and the album shows the right number of images but all thumbnails are red warning symbols and when I go to the live album pages they are just empty.

    I did not choose delete old content when installing the template and all the photos are still there under wp-content/uploads and the urls in wp_posts are correct. So why does the albums not find the images?

    Hey ??

    Hypershot and Rife are NOT fully compatible, that you can just change theme and be all good. We describe it shortly here https://apollo13themes.com/move-to-new-theme/

    However, it should pretty easy to recreate album.

    Try by making copy of any album first, and reselect photos that you have used in this album.

    If you succeed, then you will have to make the same for all your albums.

    Thanks for your reply, but that is not acceptable. All the info is in the database and I have close to a hundred albums so there is no way I am manually reselecting the photos. That would take ages and I don’t even remember all the images in different albums.

    So obviously I will not upgrade or use your theme so I wont bother you any more. I coded my own photo site drawing from the messy wordpress database and quickly restoring most of it. Glad to be rid of the shackles of WordPress and its eternal breaking and patching.
