Hey @spilver,
Jetpack Monitor monitors your site every five minutes, and it will send you an email if your site takes longer than 20 seconds to load. On shared hosting, that might happen a lot! But that doesn’t mean anything is wrong with your sites.
If you start getting these messages frequently from Jetpack Monitor and your sites aren’t actually down, there are a few possibilities:
– It’s possible that your site or some of its elements are taking longer than 10 seconds to load, or;
– There may be more than three redirects to reach the site, or;
– There could be permissions errors, or;
– Your host may be blocking our Protect user agent’s HEAD requests from connecting to your site.
I’d recommend checking with your host on all of the above, and ask them to make sure they’ve whitelisted the following agent?
jetmon/1.0 (Jetpack Site Uptime Monitor by WordPress.com)

If you find that Jetpack Monitor is annoying rather than helpful, you can disable that module by going to the Debug link at the bottom of your Jetpack > Settings page, and click the “Access the full list of Jetpack modules available on your site.” link. There, you can disable Jetpack Monitor.
