Alexa IP address before my image URL

  • Does anyone else have a problem where this IP address 10.176.80.153 shows up before there image URL? If you look at the page source each image URL has this in front of the location URL. It appears to resolve to an Alexa server and causes slow page loads at times. Why would WP flash image tool do this? The site is https://www.lavsage.com I googled this IP and it appears there are several sites with this but from the post no one seems to be aware of it what am I missing?

  • Can’t see that here, perhaps check from another PC to confirm..

    Might be something on your PC that is causing the problem, because i see no such additions to the image URLs when viewing the link.

    I have even googled it and found other people with the same thing. I will have to check this out because I just noticed the source for this page even has an IP address in front of the img url. Thanks very much maybe my PC is whacked and I better get my stuff together.

    10.xxx.xxx.xxx addresses are reserved:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_network
    So those are for internal private networks, not for public use.

    It looks like your server is IIS, so I would guess it’s a quirk of using that. I’d also guess that 10.176.80.153 is the IP address of your webserver on the internal network that it’s on if that’s the case.
