    Hello,

We are about to launch a new wordpress blog. Everything looks great and was a breeze to do.

EXCEPT of course now just days before the launch an issue has come up that has been very frustrating to solve so far.

In IE6 and IE7, the center column where the content is appears way down on the page. On every other browser and even IE8 it looks fine.

I have looked through the forum archives and think I may need to create a new style sheet for IE6 but have no idea what would go on it.

I would be grateful if anyone could help resolve this issue.

    The blog is at
    https://www3.aucegypt.edu:8090/wordpress/

    The current stylesheet is at
    https://www3.aucegypt.edu:8090/wordpress/wp-content/themes/journalist/style.css

    Thanks so much.

  • You’ve got validation errors, such as missing <div> closing tags, etc. Fix those and your IE problems might go away.

Did you edit the original theme? Compare a fresh copy with your edits and look at the code differences.

If that doesnt work, you can try an IE6 style sheet, outlined here.

Thanks. It seems the more I try to fix the errors, the more there end up being when I revalidate! Will keep trying though..

Ok – fixed. I had to create a new stylesheet for IE6.

Thanks so much for your help!
