Alipay support limited to US

After coontacting Stripe support, we came to know that they are working on this. After 1st August, this issue should not be present.

I would like to follow up on this issue. Has this been resolved by stripe? Is there anything we should do to enable customer checking out in Chinese currency using alipay via stripe?

Hi Support – this issue has not been resolved. Nothing has changed and I still have the same “Alipay support is limited to Stripe users in the United States” errorm. The plugin authors indicate that the issue is with Stripe but I would think the plugin would need updating to check for currencies other than USD. At the moment, the Alipay option is only enabled for USD.

Recently Stripe made some changes in their API. and that is not supporting Alipay at this moment. We are looking into this to make compatibility with latest stripe changes.

Hello Lorenzo, I am afraid it is still not ok with other currency yet. I’ve installed the latest version (2.0.5). The question mark sign next to alipay method is still stating that “the store currency must be USD”. And as I change to USD, it works.

Sorry for the inconvenience, there’s some issue with our Stripe free plugin our developers are working with the Ali pay integration, we’ll release a new version with the fix in a one or two days time.

Yes we had fixed the Ali Pay Integration in our premium version 3.0.6, you can go ahead and try the premium version if you would want that.
