    Hi Sarah,

I can infact see the <div> elements on the page. If you re-size the page down small, you’ll notice that all the announcements re-appear. If you enlarge the page again, things appear as they should.

For some reason on initial page load, the announcements are stacked on top of one another.

My best guess is that something is altering the styles of the timeline before it gets rendered on the page. That’s my guess as to what is going on, but it could be a number of things.

If you’d like to grant me temporary access I can take a look. As a test, I would recommend temporarily switching themes and checking if that helps resolve things. At least then we’ll know what could be going wrong , and I’ll have a starting point for a fix.

    Thanks,
    Evan

    Evan,

Can you provide your email address so I can give access?

I changed the template to Twenty Fourteen and that did fix the problem. The posts fade in from the right and left when you scroll down. I don’t understand why that wouldn’t happen with my custom theme, though.

    Hi Sarah,

My personal email address is [email protected]. We can discuss more there. It could be a simple theme style conflict or something similar.

    Thanks,
    Evan

This issue has been resolved. It was related to her theme, which was built up on bootstrap.

For some reason the bootstrap styles position:absolute; on the body was messing with the alignment of the announcements forcing them to be stacked on top of eachother.

I am having a similar issue, but five of my announcements show up, not just two. I don’t believe that the cause is the same. My first two chronological announcements and my last three show up, but the ones in the middle are missing. Could it have to do with the title/slug of the announcements?

To my knowledge , no. That is not the cause of the issue. Without direct access to your site, I am unable to tell what is going on. What is the date format you are using? What do you have set in Settings > General?

    Thanks
    Evan

https://asmtoday.org/history/ is the page that has the timeline on it.

The date format is the first one, ex. December 4, 2014.

I will have to look into the issue. If you can contact me via the contact form on my site, we can discuss via email.

I’ll most likely need an export of your announcements, and what some of your settings are in your options panel so I can try and reproduce the issue.

Then I can work my way through how to resolve it.

    Thanks,
    Evan
