• Hello. When I first started my website, https://www.wickedtees.net, After making changes I just clicked on “visit site” in the upper left corner of my WordPress dashboard to go to my website and see the site and my changes. Through several changes I did this and my site looked ok and everything seemed fine. Then I decided to manually type https://www.wickedtees.net into my web browser to see my site, and all I saw was a page that said “This site hosted by TMD hosting” I contacted TMD hosting to ask what the problem was, and they said it was because I have a folder on my wickedtees admin named wp, and all my changes in my WordPress dashboard were going into this folder, and my website was actually loading from https://www.wickedtees.net/wp, not https://www.wickedtees.net. They said that tey could move all of the content from the wp folder to the public-html folder and then my site would load from https://www.wickedtees.net. I said to do that and they did. I went to https://www.wickedtees.net and saw my site and everything looked fine. I then went back to my WordPress dashboard, made several more changes, and again went to https://www.wickedtees.net from my browser and my site looked exactly the same as it did before the new changes. So I went to https://www.wickedtees.net/wp and all my changes were there. Why is my wordpress dashboard and any changes I make going to https://www.wickedtees.net/wp instead of https://www.wickedtees.net? How do I get my WordPress dashboard to go straight to https://www.wickedtees.net? I also have another website using WordPress that is also hosted by TMD hosting that I started before Wicked Tees, and this didn’t happen with that site.

  • I know this might sound funny but try again with a different browser or incognito mode. This may be a cache issue, especially if the files are truely moved back to the correct folder.

Thank you, eze008. I contacted TMD hosting and they deleted that other folder and that seems to have worked.
