All comments became Anonymous

  • Everything was alright a few days back, but no idea how all my wordpress comment_author names have changed to a single name Anonymous.
    No idea how it happened but is there way to revert the names to original?

  • I have the same problem. All comments became anonymous, even if the user writes his name in the name field when commenting.

    I′m using twenty eleven and I have wp updated, with no changes in the last days, except some plugins that were updated.

    Did you try re-syncing the comments from Disqus to WordPress? I’m not sure if you need to delete them from WP first… Please, also read this

    Gaurav has Disqus in his blog, but I have never had it in mine, and I have the same problem. Maybe Disqus is not the guity

    OHC, that’s why we always encourage members to start their own topics ?? Please, start your own topic and include as much info as possible.

    Good advice for the future, but I have solved it yet. Is was becouse of the plugin DW Question Answer. I deactivate it and all comments are now with the author′s name right. Thanks.

    I installed disqus after this issue started appearing. Names are showing only on those comments, which were already uploaded on my disqus dashboard. It seems a native WP problem.
