All comments on home page

  • Newbie to WP, please treat as such.

    I’ve been trying to include all the comments for all posts on the home page using the Quickpress theme. All of the fixes, such as

    <?php
global $withcomments;
$withcomments = true;
comments_template();
?>

    either do nothing or generate 500 errors.

    Please let me know what code and where to place it.
