All content being removed from Hyperlink Groups

    I’ve sent this to TipTopPress Support but I’ll post here for others:

    I’ve been using Hyperlink groups. For some reason, these groups are losing all their content. The link remains on the back end, but no content inside the group, and nothing is shown on the front end inside the <a> tags.

    The change is shown in the revision differences – the content is being removed from the blocks. I can restore the revision – but any page save means the content is lost again from the Hyperlink Groups.

    I have tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a standard WP theme (Twentytwentyfour). But this behaviour continues.


    Any support would be appreciated.

  • I can verify this is happening for me as well across multiple sites. Not an issue with theme / plugins as like @jamiepantling I also used the default 2024 theme with just the hyperlink plugin. Please help! Very dependent on this plugin ??

    Have also noticed on another site now.

    Rolling back the plugin to 1.17.1 seems to fix the problem, so looks like it’s the latest update that has caused this bug.

    Mmmmh, sorry! I release a version which I reverse delete code because it is deprecated.

    Will this plugin continue to work with the deprecated code?

    Yes. Deprecated means code which is used in older versions. The new version do not use that old code, but nessesary for updating.

    Thanks, that update does seem to have fixed the issue ????

    Got it. Just wasn’t clear if the update you made was using (or not using) deprecated code to get it to work. Sounds like you are NOT using deprecated code in the new version which is great. Thanks.
