all content on ftp removed after integrity check

  • Hi,

    I have the latest version of both WP Cerber (and all other plugins) and WordPress. After checking the integrity site with Cerber, the whole content on the FTP was wiped clear. Database remain intact. This happened to me twice already (different website, same hosting provider).

    The site was hacked, so I reckon the delete was caused by some malicious code which was activated, when it was checked by Cerber?

    Any idea how to prevent this would be much appreciated!

    Hi! Please, elaborate on what is “whole content on the FTP” and where is it located?

    Hi,

    literally every single file on the ftp disappeared, it’s like sudo rm -rf * was run in the domain’s root directory. It’s a multi-hosting, other websites on the account were not affected.
