• Why the All docs pages not display all docs? That is, the docs that belong to a BuddyPress group don’t appear in the general directory.

Is there any way to generate a list of all docs with all folders?

Hi, the “All Docs” archive will show the user every doc that he or she has “read” access to. This will include docs that are shared to groups that the current user belongs to. If the doc is shared to a private group that the user does not belong to, or is set to “author only” and belongs to another user, then the user will not be able to see those docs in the list. If folders are enabled at the group level, I don’t think those will be visible (they wouldn’t make sense in the global doc directory).

Right, the problem is indeed that the docs that are in group folders don’t show up in All Docs.

This doesn’t make sense to me. Global is global, meaning it should contain all docs no matter what. “Global except docs in group folders is not global.

Update: I just figured out you have to create and set access under the actual plugin on the web page and not the admin menu. Seems kinda of silly but I got it working. The problem now is images cannot be seen in the body of content. Only as links or attachments.

Hello, I have a similar issue with Buddypress Docs. I, as administrator, created a bunch of documents using the Docs menu and add new. There isn’t anywhere that allows you to specify what group the docs are shared too. I need these docs to be shared to everyone.
Right now only those who are administrators can see any of the docs. The rest of the members cannot see any. How do I fix this? I need a general doc archive everyone can see. Are you saying I have to create a general group, then under that group create all of the docs and not use the main doc menu?

Not sure what you mean with “set access under the actual plugin.” As far as I can see, All Docs only includes a subset of all docs.

For the images, you have to enable attachments in the BuddyPress Docs settings. Then you can insert images just like with WordPress posts.
