    What do you have in the From field?

    I think I am having this problem too. What am I supposed to put in the From field? It looks like the form has changed. We put our own address in the From field because we were getting syntax errors when we used the mail tags suggested. What should be in the From field? Now we don’t know who is sending us messages!

    Thanks!

    I have the email that is connected to my domain name so info@mydomainname. This is a different email from my TO Field.
    Is that correct or should they be the same email?? Which to me doesn’t make sense but I am easily confused!

    @jezbellkid

    So I am clear who sent the message, my FROM field in the MAIL tab looks like this:

    From: [your-name] <[email protected]>

    @jezbellkid
    The TO and FROM email addresses don’t need to be the same, but the FROM email does need to be @your-site.com to satisfy the validator and avoid any spam issues. Consider putting the mail-tag for the sender’s name in the FROM field to (like my example above) so you are always clear who sent the message.

    this is what I have in my from box
    from : [your-name] <[email protected]>

    All the emails I get come from the first person who ever filled out the online contact form. So all my emails come from one person even though they are all from different people.
    Very hard to sort emails when they are all from the same contact even though they come from different email addresses

    Please help I am very lost in my emails!
