I am using FB Pro 4.4. Logged into my admin area today and ALL of my folders for well over a thousand images have vanished. Where’d they go? Having not logged in and looked for a bit, I’m not sure if it was updating Filebird or what. But what happened here? Did the update get rid of my old folders? if so, then why did I pay for your plugin if that’s what I have to be afraid of if I update? How do I find the missing folders?

BTW in case you suggest it, I tried “update database” and nothing happened.

    Hi @michael-divine ,

    Thanks for using FileBird!
If I understand you correctly, you updated the plugin and then all your folders vanished?

Also, did I hear that you are using the paid version, please?

    Kind regards,

Yes all of my folders are gone and yes I am using the paid version.

FWIW I can see all of my folders in the mysql database.

Folders were set up by a different user (USER1) account (created when creating website) and “allow

“Each user has his own folders?” was checked. Unchecking it does not make all folders visible to all users – only NO folders.

    So…

Went to “Users” and deleted USER1 and assigned all posts to USER2 (current user).

Folders remain visible in the mysql database

But, when logged in now as USER2, folders do not show up in admin. So folders were not transferred to new user and instead remain orphaned in the database.

How do I attache the folders to USER2?

If you are experiencing the above, here’s how to attach to USER2:

Open your mysql database (probably via your web host + phpmyadmin)
    Open your wp database
Find and click wp_users and locate the user_id of the user you want to assign the folders to
Find some version of wp_fv and under the column ‘created_by’ click the number and enter the user id you got from the previous step

Refresh your media page and it should all be there.

Anyways this can be marked as closed as it is fixed now.

However, to now make them available to ALL users… perhaps changing the user_id to 0 or leaving it blank is the way to go. I’m not sure and haven’t tried it yet.
