  • Hi,

I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing issues.

Can you please share some screenshots of the issues (frontend/backend) ? I’ve checked your site and didn’t notice any visible issues.

    Kind regards,

    Rodica

Yes I can see – how do I insert a screenshot. I cannot get it to work.

I would like to share screenshots, but maybe it is just me who does not know how to? Is there any other way to share screenshots with you than by uploading them in this forum?

And you are right. There does not seem to be any problems frontend on the pages on my website. The problems are backend where all formatting has dissapeared. This is the case for both old and new pages.

I have tried the troubleshooting mode where it looks as if it is the Hestia theme that is causing the problems. When I tried the Twenty Twenty-two theme I could see headings and the plain text again. When switching to the Hestia theme all formatting dissapeared.

    Hey,

For screenshots you can use a tool like https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html for example.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,

I found a tool that might work. The example is of this page from my website: https://jesperabild.dk/kropsoevelser/

This is a screenshot of the page – backend: https://imgur.com/UuhiQbd

And this is the same page – frontend: https://imgur.com/k02hTDD

    Hi,

    Thank you for sharing those.

It looks like you are using the Classic Editor https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/classic-editor/ that’s why you are seeing those differences in styling.

If you feel it’s best, you can try switching to blocks, and not use the classic editor anymore.

    Let me know.

Yes – but it is only recently these differences have appeared.

It has been working fine so far.

We have these plugins installed that I think are related to text editing:

    • Advanced Editor Tools
      • Version 5.9.2 af Automattic
    • Classic Widgets
      • Version 0.3 af WordPress Contributors
    • PublishPress Blocks
      • Version 3.2.4 af PublishPress
    • Spectra
      • Version 2.15.2 af Brainstorm Force

As I understand it the Advanced Editor Tools plugin should make it possible to use both the classic editor and the block editor. Is this not correct (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/tinymce-advanced/)?

Is there no longer a plugin (or plugins) that gives us this option. To use both classic and block editor – when using Hestia theme?

    Hi @jesperabild,

Thank you for sharing the details and screenshots!
Based on the information you shared and testing, here’s what I have found:

    1. Classic vs Block Editor:?WordPress has transitioned to the block editor (Gutenberg), which handles content a bit differently than the classic editor. Even though you are using the Classic Editor, WordPress may still convert to blocks in the background, resulting in some differences in how the content looks in the editor versus the live page.
    2. Hestia:?Hestia handles both the classic and block editors. However, Full Site Editing themes are built specifically for the block editor, which might explain the differences you notice when switching between themes.

I suggest to consider switching fully to the block editor for consistency. But if you still prefer using the classic editor, you may need to adjust a bit the styles the theme is using.
Please let us know if you need assistance with anything else!
    Best regards,
    Mara
